Two days to go in our countdown to Nottdance 2019 brings us to 2 artists who have a history of working with Dance4 and Nottdance, Jonathan Burrows & Matteo Fargion.

Jonathan & Matteo have collaborated together for over 28 years, sharing equally the conception, creation and performance of their work. They have built a body of duets which juxtapose the formality of music composition with a radical and open approach to performance and audiences. This is the second time that the pair have taken part in Nottdance; the first was with their joint work One Flute Note.

In addition to their work together, Jonathan has sold over 14,000 copies of  his work A Choreographer’s Handbook, since its publication in 2010, and is available from Routledge Publishing; Matteo has collaborated with many choreographers, including Jeremy James, Russell Maliphant, Lynda Gaudreaux, Stephanie Schober, and three times with Siobhan Davies (Art of Touch, Bank, In Plain Clothes).
